Top 10 Ski Towns in the United States

An action packed vacation can sometimes be the most memorable and there is nothing more exciting than flying down a mountain on a set of skis. The top ski towns are also some of the most luxurious and beautiful around the world, so even if skiing isn’t your thing, visiting these locations is a must. The United States has some of the best skiing around, and the list below highlights our favorites!

1: Deer Valley, Utah

Deer Valley, Utah

Aside from being one of the most luxurious ski destinations in the world, Deer Valley offers a lot more than high end amenities for the rich and famous. There is a reason Utah is known for its "Champagne Powder", and the skiing at Deer Valley is some of the best around. Whether you are looking for groomed runs or great off-piste skiing, Deer Valley offers everything. In addition to the fun on the slopes, Deer Valley also boasts some of the nicest lodges with big fireplaces and delicious hot chocolate. After a long day skiing, head into Park City and enjoy great restaurants like Robert Redford’s Zoom or Riverhorse on Main.

Come Christmas, Aspen is overrun with celebrities and offers some of the best shopping and dining for any ski town. If you are looking for a top place to stay, The Little Nell is the best in town. If you are looking for a deal, however, we recommend visiting somewhere else.

Consistently receiving the best snowfall in the United States, Alta offers the best skiing for the hardcore. About 40 minutes outside of Park City, we would recommend Alta for those who know what they are doing. There is a ton of off-piste terrain, but not very many “groomed” easy going runs. Alta is the place to go for those who want some of the best skiing in the world.
