Berea has a very traditional American town feel to it. As we said, the median income is considerably lower than most other places in Kentucky (by as much as $16,000). While Berea isn't an amazing place, it offers good value for money. Nothing about it is necessarily terrible. It has good nature, affordable homes, and a low crime rate.
