Not far from Branson, in Point Lookout, Missouri, you’ll find College of the Ozarks. This is no ordinary university! In fact, it’s a completely different experience than most. Rather than going into debt or going to college on grants or scholarships, students at College of the Ozarks work hard to keep the campus going and earn their way through college. Students work 15 hours a week during school and 40 over breaks. One of the school’s income streams is the Keeter Center, which offers food and accommodations to travelers in the region. If you stay here, you’ll not only get a wonderful experience vacationing in the mountains, but you’ll also contribute to the students’ education.
Have fun at a theme park, Missouri Style! Silver Dollar City is a unique theme park that is distinctly Midwestern.
