Sometimes referred to as the Grand Canyon of the Pacific, Waimea Canyon is a canyon that stretches for around ten miles with a depth of up to three thousand feet. Situated above the Wailua River, Wailua Falls is a stunning waterfall that cascades down more than 170 feet. 4: Kalalau Trail

Running along the Na Pali Coast, the Kalalau Trail is a challenging eleven mile trail that takes you through some beautiful scenery and settings. This is a trail that generally requires two days for average hikers in order to complete the round trip. You can combine your trek with an exciting camping experience at the attractive Kalalau beach, which the trail will bring you out at. 5: Polihale State Park

Polihale State Park

Situated on the western side of the island, this remote and peaceful wild beach runs for several miles. You will find sand dunes along the beach, some of which are one hundred feet high. There are also some facilities available on the beach including cold running water and showers. However, as this is a remote beach those visiting should take along any supplies they need such as an umbrella for shade, refreshments, and other necessities.
