1: Garden of the Gods

The name ‘Garden of the Gods’ sounds pretty grandiose, but let us tell you that this park definitely feels otherworldly and ancient. This due to a few reasons: 1) ancient cypress trees, 2) vibrant red sandstone rock, and 3) obtuse and undefined rock formations that don’t look like anything you’ve ever seen before.

Needless to say, this is the perfect place to come if you have a strong interest in rock climbing, hiking, biking, and even horseback riding.

If you’re new to outdoors activities, you can find some friendly tours to guide you around the major sites and landmarks, including Rock Ledge Ranch Historic Site, which has remnants from settlers during the 1880s.
