Kids love heading to the Marvel Super Heroes room. It’s a top secret command center that houses many of the Marvel Superheroes and includes a 4D experience. It’s a short 3D film that includes interactive elements, like water, wind, and earthquakes meant to literally make you feel like you’re a part of action! Visit Thor, Spider Man and even the Hulk while they battle their archenemies.
Grown-ups can always be found on the Red Carpet, posing with Jennifer Anniston and making music with Usher and other American Idol stars. When I went to Madame Tussauds, I was really surprised by how life-like the figures are! I always felt like people were watching me. It’s like a museum in that way, and I wouldn’t want to go on my own! There were a lot of people there and there was often a line up, or at least a wait, before we could take pictures. There is an educational element as well. There is a room where you can learn about how the wax figures are made step by step and they even allow school trips as a way to complement art lessons.
One thing I really like about this place is that even though it’s a museum, you’re actually allowed to touch the wax models. It definitely costs them in upkeep! People who maintain the figures have to wash the hair and clothes, while constantly touching up the paint and so on. If you’re looking for an experience with the least people, try visiting during the week or after dinner. The line up may seem daunting to get in as well, but it actually doesn’t take too long to get in there – it’s usually about 10 or 15 minutes. Enjoy!
