The Yampa River flows through the center of Dinosaur National Monument and is 72 miles in length winding through towering sandstone cliffs. The Yampa has incredible hiking options, really fun white water rapids class 2 to 4 and top notch camping sites. Either trip is wonderful and most people see one section and come back soon to raft the other section of river. Trips fill up quickly because of there popularity. A professional outfitter is recommended and Dinosaur River Expeditions is the only locally owned and operated guide service in the region. They have been in business since 1979 and taken thousands of people on these rivers.
